Hello Sajha Users, I have a question. What if a green card holder stays out of states for more than a year? Does that person in anyway go back to states again?

You can but it is not 100% guarantee. You should file extended stay (forgot the term) from USCIS and get approval before you go for such a long time to avoid any problem.
