Dear LondonBridge:
Hello.
Maharishi University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, which is a commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The Higher Learning Commission accredits about 1,000 other colleges and universities throughout the broad Midwestern United States, from the University of Texas to the University of Minnesota, and from Ohio State University to the University of Arizona. (You can visit the Commission’s website and see all the institutions the Commission oversees and the meaning of accreditation).
An H1B visa is not required, nor is it given to students coming from outside the US.
Once the application for admission is approved, a University acceptance letter and a U.S. Immigration Service SEVIS I-20 form will be mailed to the applicant. A prospective international student should not make plans to enter the United States before receiving both a letter of acceptance and a SEVIS I-20 form. It will be necessary to present these documents at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate when applying for an F-1 student visa, and again upon arrival into the United States, and finally, during registration at the University.
Other requirements are available at MUM website.
There are many Nepalese students in this MS program at MUM.
