The directive asks for 100 to 200 cases monthly for the 2026 fiscal year. For context, only about 120 cases were filed in total between 2017 and late 2025.
Denaturalization is generally limited to cases involving fraud, material misrepresentation, or illegal procurement of citizenship during the naturalization process.
USCIS is reassigning staff and dispatching specialized teams to field offices to review past naturalization approvals.
