Private Rita Rana - the first Nepali girl in the British Army?

Private Rita Rana, the daughter of an ex British Gurkha has followed the footsteps of her father and joined the regular British Army, making her, quite possibly, the first Nepali girl in the British Army.
A few years back there was a lot of excitement in Nepal about the recruitment of girls in the British Gurkhas. However, one is yet to read about this. Wonder what's happened to that plan?

Hallelujah !!!

Good for her.  Hopefully more Nepali-British women will follow in her footsteps.

Not only that, I hope more Nepali-British men and women will serve their Queen and Country as officer cadets at Sandhurst.
