My wife had interview in nepal but after interview they kept her passport and kept the case in "administrative processing". Its been 2 months now and the case is still on administrative processing. Does anyone have gone through the same process?

She gave interview and at the end they asked her to submit original birth certificate. consulate told her to come pick the visa next week. We submit the certificate and when we went to pick the visa they told her she needs to wait and the case is now on administrative processing. I dont know whats going on. They dont tell you anything.

dwag, are you a citizen sponsoring your wife for ds 260? or a green card holder? or is your wife going to come on h4 or f2 visa, or even b1/b2, l1 l2 visa.. for GC /Citizen anything that takes time from the interview till the visa issuance is admin processing ,as far as understand. but if you're on other categories it may take few months. please explain what category did you apply the visa under?
