@Rangeli-- I should be happy about Mr. Singh's accomplishment but the way the article was written and the way Mr. Singh portrayed himself as this guy who spent all his life in Patahi, the cynic in me couldn't help but be curious about the following things. I would appreciate it if someone can answer these questions so that I can truly admire Mr. Singh and his great accomplishments without
being cynical.

1) "He went on to graduate high school in Nepal and then he moved to Minnesota, where he worked for about a year before starting his undergraduate degree at University of Minnesota" What was/is his visa status? Did he get DV? How was he able to work one year before starting his undergrad?
2) The article says he went to Primary School in Patahi (the one without walls). What happened after grade six? Did he move to Kathmandu? Which High School did he attend?
3) His dad is a civil servant and brother is an engineer. Is his family as poor as the article seems to imply or were they poor when he was in grade six but after that things changed?

Irrespective of the answers to these questions, interning at NASA is a huge accomplishment which I could never even dream to accomplish. The only problem I have with the article is that it seems to imply that Mr. Singh studied at this school in Patahi all his life and somehow ended up in Minnesota. If that is the case, I would like to know how. Now, that would be a truly inspiring story.
