I would like to give you a short background on why I am reaching out to you. My dad has chapter-wise (Adhyayagat Saramsha) summarized all 18 Mahapurans (working on the 18th currently) in a long continuous effort. This is the first time that someone has actually summarized all 18 Puranas into Nepali language.

The Puranas, as you may already be aware, are ancient writings and function as one part of skripture for the Hindu tradition. These texts were written over a long period of time from about the fourth century BCE to the eleventh century and perhaps even earlier and written in Sanskrit. You all may already know about the deepness, ancientness and unlimited knowledge and wisdom of Sanskrit. Sanskrit is the oldest store of knowledge, where art, philosophy, astronomy, mathematics, Science, Yoga, Ayurveda, literature, what not, are incurred.

However, due to the difficulty of learning Sanskrit as a language is a big barrier to Nepali people in general to read and understand the Purans, the Vedas and other important literary books. Similarly, to how the great noble Bhanubhakta had made the Ramayan easily accessible to general Nepali folks, and by any means I am not comparing myself to Bhanubhakta, however, the summarized translation of these Puranas originally written in Sanskrit will help those who cannot read and understand Sanskrit, but have a deep interest in reading the Purans or Hinduism in general.

My hope is that, he can reach out to as many Nepali people interested in any of Sanskrit, the Purans or Hindu mythology. Can I please request that if you are interested or if anyone you know are interested in the Purans and want to read them in Nepali please share the link?

These books are easily accessible and can be purchased through Amazon Kindle. Here is the link to all the Purnas that I have summarized and translated so far:

Appreciate all your guys' help!
