My OPT expired in end of July. My H1B application was picked on lottery. So I did not file for OPT extension. I only filed for Cap Gap but my RFE has been denied. So what are the options I have? I am giving GRE in October first week, can I still join Graduate School? Can my F1 status be reinstated? Or I need to go to Nepal and get a new visa stamp once/if approved by any university for admission?
I am really worried. Any positive suggestions are welcome.

P.S. My TPS has been approved. But I didn't file for TPS EAD so that means I have to quit current job. If TPS doesnot get extended, what can I do ?

Thanks everyone.

Apply for tps ead. Also apply to college. If tps extends, then work in tps and try to solve the h1b rfe. If tps doesn't extend, then go to college. Since you have not been out of status, u might not need to reinstate. Not sure about that though.

Apply for tps ead., then go to a cpt school that gives EAD from day 1. Stay in school until we know the fate of TPS.
Get a sick leave for couple of days while u join college.

There are many universities that has quarter semester system and they will most likely accept it. If you are in California try Herguan , Silicon Valley ... those are easy to get in but again those universities are mostly to maintain status or get cpt and work.
