Why dont u head to LA for renewal . I think they are going there for passport services.

send an email to consular@nepalembassyusa.org stating there are no future appointment slots available , they will get back to you with updated availability on site.

I had my passport renewed in DC last year. They used to publish their available dates like a month ahead and they actually did reply back to my email. (https://us.nepalembassy.gov.np... Other than a bit of anxiety, I got my passport renewed without any hassle. Just follow the direction verbatim. They have limited resources.  But they are very friendly when we got there and I could see that they were trying their best, it was an experience unlike what I am used to in Nepali government offices in KTM. Hi everyone, I managed to schedule a date to renew my passport in Washington, DC. I completed the process and received my reference number, but when I attempt to pay for the service, it indicates that I am not permitted to and must pay manually. I have tried calling the Embassy of Nepal, but no one answers the phone, and my emails have not received a response. Should I plan to pay for it when I visit the Embassy in person?

Yes you can do that pirati. Nepal embassy ko website kehi garna lai pani kaam laagdaina. Best option is paying in person.

Embassy mai pay garna milcha. Tya window ma biometrics liye pachi paisa tirne. Money order lera gaye ni huncha natra credit/debit card bata tirna milcha. Maile yehi Jan ma garda tehi garya ho. Aba tyo pachi kehi change bhako bhaye chai tha bhayena. Embassy ma phone uthaudainan. Tya kam garne manche kam chan ani kam chai lastai dherai huncha. Don't worry too much. It's pretty simple when you reach there, and the people working there are super helpful as well.

The embassy site is down. It has been for few days, I think. What are the documents that I will need to take besides old passport, citizenship, card, and the application form?

Get money order or pay at the window. Get usps return envelope as well if you don’t want someone to pick it up.

Gaitundey le gajjab kura samjhayo hai. Don’t forget the return envelope. Purano passport, citizenship card ra appointment lera jane ho. Ani pick up garna personally janae ho bhane chai return envelope pani lagna parcha.

@ShreeRaam/Gaitundey - What do they do with your Old Passport? Do they send it back(voided) along with the new one ? I have few other Visas on my Old one so a bit hesitant to send it back to them(yeah , didn't drop the passport during my in person appointment), now they are holding the new one until i send the old one back

Purano passport naya sangai pathauchan. Passport narakhi pathaidyo? Ki harayo bhanera gareko? harayo bhanera garyo bhane badhi paisa tirnu parthyo, natra purano passport diyera renewal file garne ho. It's normal. Don't worry so much.

@Shreeraam Bro - Dhanyabad as usual :) . Mero in person appointment bhaisakyo back in May - DC already has my renewed passport - they just want my old one back before they dispatch the new One to me. Just wanted to make sure they will return my Old one as well. Reason: Renewal pachi, i had a Biometrics appointment at Application Service Center for different purpose so i needed to have my Old Passport with me. Nepal Embassy ma request garna milcha , Passport aafai sanga rakhchu bhanera stating obvious reasons. Just wasn't sure if they were going to send it back .

The Embassy will handle your biometrics and photo, so you don't need to bring any photos. You only need to bring your application form, proof of citizenship, current passport, and a return envelope.
