GBNC BBQ & Sports Day Schedule

Date: Monday, September 6, 2004
A. Morning Session
------------------------
Event : 5K Race + Walk
Suggested Fee: $ 5 per person. Proceeds go to Help Nepal Foundation.
How to get there and where to meet?
Take the Red Line T and get off at Charles MGH Station. Walk along the river towards the Mass Ave. Bridge. Meet GBNC members in front of the Boston Community Boat House. It is about 5 minutes walk from Charles MGH.
Race Track:
Race starts in front of the Boston Community Boat House. Participants will run/walk through the Charles River Espalande to Mass Ave Bridge, give their number to the referee at that end and run back to the Boat House. This will be approximately 5 kms.
If you would like to walk the course, you are most welcome :)
Schedule:
9:30 am - 9:55 am - Registration
10:00 am - Race Starts
11:30 am - Race closes

B. Afternoon Session
---------------------------
Events: BBQ, Soccer Tournament, Volleyball, Basketball and Child Games
Fee: $5 per person
Venue: Arsenal Park Mall, Watertown, MA
How to get there?
You can drive and park behind Arsenal Park Mall. You can also take bus #70/70A from Central Square, Cambridge.
Schedule:
1:00pm - Registration Opens and grills start up.
2:00pm - Soccer Matches start
4:30pm - Soccer Final
5:45pm - Prize distribution
7:00pm - BBQ End
Basketball, Volleyball and children games will be held between 2pm and 5pm.
Note: GBNC will be collecting donations for the ANA fund that is going to the bereaved families of the 12 Nepali workers brutally murdered in Iraq.

GBNC is holding its annual summer barbecue and sports for you and your family
on Monday, September 6 at Arsenal Mall Park, Watertown. You will have
a choice of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies.

to the right of the Arsenal Mall. The Mall is at 485 Arsenal Street
in Watertown, Massachusetts, 1 mile east of Watertown Square.
