NWGN will be holding its 4th biennial conference on August 16th 2014 in MIT Boston. The purpose of the conference is to create a dialogue on issues pertaining to women and women of Nepali origin. This will also be an opportunity to highlight NWGN mission and explore collaboration and partnerships with various organizations to increase access to resources for Nepali women.
The conference will feature distinguished guest speakers such as Women Health Activist Dr. Renu Rajbhandari, Charge d’ Affaires Rishi Ram Ghimere, NRNA President Sesh Ghale and NRN NCC USA President Khagendra Chhetry. Workshops will include issues such as media’s role in improving status of women, achievement and challenges of owning a small business and rights based approach to empowerment. By uniting scholars, researchers, and practitioners, NWGN hopes to create a lasting forum for those interested in issues of importance to Nepali women.
