Dear Friends and Community Members, Namaste! Buddhi Narayan Shrestha, winner of the prestigious 'Madan Puraskar, 2057' is a well-known cartographer from Nepal. Mr. Shrestha has published numerous books relating to boarder issues of Nepal and also contributed many news articles in both national and international journals. Buddhi Narayan Shrestha specialized in 'land use mapping' and served in the Department of Land Survey from 1965 to 1992 AD. Mr. Shrestha's 27 years long government service started from survey officer and rose to director general; he was also ten years as Managing Director of a Private Sector Mapping & Land Development Company. With his long experience in and survey and mapping of Nepal, Mr. Shrestha is undoubtedly one of the most informed resource persons, who intimately knows the political boundaries of Nepal. Mr. Shrestha has recently published a new book called 'Border Management of Nepal'. In his new book he spells out the burning issues of managing and regulating the Nepal's border with its neighbors. Mr. Shrestha is one person who has answers to resolve the Kalapani dispute. Mr. Shrestha has also teased out details of many other disputed boarder areas particularly between Nepal and India. The America Nepal Society has organized a talk program by Mr. Buddhi Narayan Shrestha so that people interested in the political boundaries of Nepal can learn from Mr. Buddhi Narayan Shresth's expertise. The talk program will be followed by a question answer session.
