As increasing numbers of parents visit their children abroad, there are times when older Nepali parents must travel by themselves. This can be anxious times for the travelers and their families, especially when they have never traveled outside Nepal before and do not speak English well.
Zen Travels has created a short memo with instructions for such travelers. This memo has instructions addressed to airport/airlines customer services staff explaining the situation and also a standard contact template that needs to have contact information. Passengers are encouraged to complete this form and attach it with the itinerary so that there is sufficient information for guidance during transit.
As a courtesy to all our Nepali passengers, Zen Travels will make available, free of charge, its 24 hour call center so that airport/airport officials can request translation. Airline/airport staff can contact Zen Travel's 24 hour call toll-free center and our travel agents will help with translation and will notify family members in Nepal or elsewhere.
The direct number in Kathmandu is 977-1-4436364 and our representatives can also be reached by dialing 202.465.4266.
Zen Travels will also try to find other Nepali passengers who might be able to assist flying on these dates.
