Ram Prasad, after trying all sorts of phone cards cards, I've settled with Himtel for the last few months. Their Kathmandu Connect card for $5 has always given me half an hour of talk time. But it only works inside Kathmandu. For calls outside Kathmandu, I've used their Clean Card, which costs $10 and gives 26 minutes of talk time. Btw, I'm not related to Himtel but have been impressed by their curteous and prompt customer service. TitoMitho.

I have been using skype (http://www.skype.com) to make PC-to-Phone and PC-to-PC calls to Nepal. In order to call to phone numbers, you have to purchase their SkypeOut credit. They charge in euros, but for equivalent of US $10, you can call for 59 minutes to inside KTM and 36 minutes to outside KTM and cell phones. They have 1 minute rounding, and charge VAT for EU residents. You can see their rates at https://secure.skype.com/store/help.pricelist.html Ramesh

>you from VSNIKETAN??? >if Outside Kathmandu is Mahakali Aunchal, then let me know.. >probably you are my long lost friend Beau, Probably you don't know me because I am neither from VSNIKETAN nor Mahakali Aunchal. By the way, I am sorry to request you all to disregard my above post, as the skype service now seems to have increased the rates just after I posted here. It is no longer cheaper. Ramesh

I got sick n tired of all phone cards and finally settled down with Nickletalk.com. .35/mo to nepal and .05 to most of the developed countries. From your home or cell phone any time of the day. Direct dial and monthly or credit card billing. No more lost minutes, no more connection problem, no more trips to the stores, no more waisting time online searching for mo' beta ones. Overall, I am happy so far. It is really sofaking cool.
