Hey Tris -

What do you mean "Have a great fun time ahead"? Planning to leave us? But you just got here ...

Well, the only thing I can think of other than raising money might be collecting clothes etc that we can send back. I dont know how economically viable that might be since that will involve paying for the freight etc. Unless we can find volunteers amongst people travelling to Nepal to each take a couple of pieces with them. I doubt that will work as it could turn out to be a herculean task logistically.

Any one else have any other ideas ?

Thanks Captain.I will certainly stop by this cafe whenever time perrmits.I love to be a part of real life ideal family(the cafe).

In fact,Making govt and NGO heard our voices for preventive measures can be a step ahead solution for long term.Of course, this is time to help financially but it won't solve problem. We can voice our opinion how it can be avoided in near future. What are the reasons behind it?

Sajha is being hit 10000 times a day means this paltform can be used to voice your opinion for good cause. And people like you and lots of others intellectual users of Sajha can push our govt and NGOS to work for nation restructuring for develeopment.

just my thought

after all WHAT DO I KNOW?(pirated from thapap)

Hello all!

How is it going?

I could never see it happening that one day this thread will morph into a single place where, with a single click, some of the most familiar blogger-names are sure to be found. We could have a word like "Rendezvous" added to the title of the thread because of the inviting nature of this thread to come together. Just a thought (not a sermon )

Now this may sound more and more like a letter (open one) or in some weird way an award acceptance speech.
Anyhow:

Loote (the oxygen for Sajha's life)! "how 'you doing, bud?" to you exclusively as you called out to me previously. No I am not married yet. Ladies (straight ones only) are you reading this. LOL! But I ain't desperate since I ain't living a monk-life either.
...

Captain Saab! (like Sndy suggested I think) I am a true believer when it come to your general prose composition. It's like a breeze..so smooth and so pleasant (to read). I think you should seriously consider writing in Sajha forum. You just need to come up with a good enough plot and the rest should come out naturally to you.

Hello to the rest of you who complete Sajha Nautanki spirit..(so many to name). Good to see that yo'll are doing fine and dandy.

TM!

Welcome! Good to see you here, man.

TM as in Tony Montana, huh? (as per what I read in some other thread) Oh man, we have a mafiosi in our midst now! We can get rid of Tiger Duala (our resident bouncer) now - ha ha ha

Tiger Duala say hello to my little friend! (LOL!)

BTW, you got quite a thing going on there with all those music threads. I like most of your choices. :)

As SNDY said, hope to see you round more often, and bring your friends along too if you want ...

Tris -

Nice video - thanks for sharing. Goes to prove people can help in their own ways - big and small.

Fraulein -

Any word on NPL2US? He seems to have vanished. Please tell TL that we are waiting for her to get some free time and come and say hi ...

For those not familiar with Tony Montana, this from wikipedia:

Antonio "Tony" Montana is a fictitious character in the Brian DePalma classic "Scarface," and portrayed by Al Pacino, in what is widely regarded as one of the most mimicked gangster characters, with memorable quotes like; "say hello to my little friend." Oliver Stone came up with the name by combining the last name of his then-favourite football player (Joe Montana) and the first name from the main character of the movie Scarface: The Shame of a Nation, made in 1932.

The rise and fall of Tony Montana —a Havana prison convict expelled from Cuba in 1980—begins with him being questioned by US custom officials after having arrived in Miami. His scars and gang tattoos marking him as an assassin, don’t go unnoticed and he is refused entry and sent along with his best friend Manny Ribera (Steven Bauer) to a make shift detention camp, Freedom Town. In the camp, Tony carries out a mob hit that earns him and his friends an early release, green cards and a job washing dishes at a tiny food stand.

Tony and Manny soon quit their jobs after getting their first break to enter Miami's underworld, when Omar (F. Murray Abraham) offers them a job to do a cocaine exchange with some dangerous Colombians led by "Hector the Toad" at the Sun Ray hotel. The deal goes horribly wrong. An associate is killed and Tony is lucky to survive. The drug deal gone bad however earns him and his associates the respect and admiration of a powerful yet affable drug kingpin, Frank Lopez (Robert Loggia), who offers them jobs.

Unlike Manny, Tony is not satisfied with their change in fortune, and driven by a lust for wealth and power, he sets to establish himself as a major player in the cocaine industry, and even has his sights on taking Lopez's beautiful mistress Elvira Hancock (Michelle Pfeiffer), and realize a dream he once thought was impossible: to have "the world and everything in it."

Tony's unpretentious and courageous style "all I have in this world are my balls, and my word, and I don't break 'em for no one" wins the trust of the sauve Alejandro Sosa (Paul Shenar) a Bolivian drug baron of a vast cocaine operation. Through his dealings with Sosa, he quickly rises in Miami's underworld, survives an assassination attempt, violently overthrows his boss Lopez and eventually marries Elvira.

Yet the very trait that brought him success as an underworld boss -- a refusal to trust anyone-- destroys’s the relationships with those close to him and sows the seeds of his own downfall. He sees Elvira as nothing more than a possession, while his obsessive love and over protectiveness for his younger sister Gina (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), leads to her corruption, and the senseless killing of his best friend Manny. Added to this is a false sense of invincibility fuelled by cocaine addiction.

Good Morning people!

Jackie Boy - That boy is undoubtedly one of the charming performers and has a quality voice. I found him singing while shuffling videos and this boy amazed him. Since, that day this song "Tere Bin" from the movie (Which he sung in saregama) "bas Ek pal" has been playing in my mind! Btw, how did your presentation go? Also, quite early today huh? :-)

Shakshi - Hey girly, how are you?

Also, A very big Hi to all the members of NL from TL and she misses everyone (Got an opportunity to talk to her yesterday).

Have a great day ya'll!

Ha ha ha Shakshi - As much I'd love to go sailing this morning, I'd prolly get fired if I did LOL!

I guess will have to contend with just the song then:

Enya's Oronico Flow - Enjoy

Let me sail, let me sail,
let the orinoco flow,
Let me reach, let me beach
On the shores of Tripoli.
Let me sail, let me sail,
Let me crash upon your shore,
Let me reach, let me beach
Far beyond the Yellow Sea.

From Bissau to Palau - in the shade of Avalon,
From Fiji to Tiree and the Isles of Ebony,
From Peru to Cebu hear the power of Babylon,
From Bali to Cali - far beneath the Coral Sea.

From the North to the South,
Ebudæ into Khartoum,
From the deep sea of Clouds
To the island of the moon,
Carry me on the waves
To the lands I've never been,
Carry me on the waves
To the lands I've never seen.

We can sail, we can sail...
We can steer, we can near
With Rob Dickins at the wheel,
We can sigh, say goodbye
Ross and his dependencies
We can sail, we can sail...
