Hello everyone, my sister is coming to usa with 2 daughters of age less than 2 years next month. I am wondering what benefit will they get from the government at the beginning as they will have no job at the moment. I heard they will get some money for the kids since they r youngs. If anybody had the same situation and received the benefit from the government, please advise. help will be appreciated. thanks.

Everyone is commenting how they see or perceive it. It is okay to know if there are any assistance and as a tax payer sees it differently and expressed his/her concern.
If you have right to use, you must use it.
Regarding SIS comment: she is 100% correct. I have faced both race while I was making my living as a tax preparer. They come with children and 100 dollars of w-2 forms and ask how much money s/he getting? I have this many babies! As if government had asked to make???
And those babies are their earning for food stamps to any resources provided by government or state. And you know these people who lives on Assistance drive better car than you do.

@magorkhali Yeah true but I don't think you should have hate towards an individual for using given benefit from a system made for everyone just because someone else has misused that system.

Regarding hate : I met a gentleman in NJ longtime ago: He is back to Nepal and doing great. When ever he was mad or angry : he will start cooking and chop food hard. But everyone else we have SAJHA to express.

sgautam1 - Depending on the state you are in, contact/google your state's Dept. of Human Services or your County office Social Services dept. to find out what kind of assistance is available and if your sister will qualifies. Congratulations on the expected arrival of your sibling and NO SHAME taking advantages of programs put in place for the exact reasons :)

The Bankers are sucking every penny from all around the world like leeches to name themselves as Billionaires getting all the gold and glory...no problemo sucking few thousands tom dollars from the treasury as Fed got pretty good machination to print all the dollars if needed....suckersss!
