I literally wept reading the recent blog by Rahulvai. I am very much amazed with his accomplishment given the adversity he faced in those years. He is a true fighter and I salute his spirit and devotion for the cause he holds as dear. I wish him success in all his future endeavors. Rahulvai, Keep walking and do not give up until you find what you were seeking from the beginningl.

Rahulvai, thank you for writing your childhood story and struggle here in sajha. I have no words to describe your talent and hard work. Though i did not have so much difficulty during my childhood, we ( i along with my parents and siblings) had also faced so many difficulties at that time. my father gave us as much as he could. those quiz contest, school first, class first also reminds of my days back in school. Hats off to you. could you please also share your success story after your slc/isc. also, if you dont mind could you tell us about your elder sister and brother who sacrificed their childhood to take care of you and your family. It is really amazing how you along with your brother managed to earn to feed yourself. amazing story. on the top of that you had very quick and sharp mind who could grasp things quicky and also could express things very well. it is not a joke to be in top ten in SLC. thanks again for sharing your story with all of us. hats off to you and your brother who took care of your family in such an early age.

This is the life story of Rahul Vai.The struggle

i am sorry rahul vai i can not get emotion here i am just summarizing for sweetie.
I recommend strongly to read it who understands nepali.I cried a lot.This guy made me cry:(

Just a summary:
Rahul vai is around 9-10 years old when his father decides to leave his joint family.Rahul vai is 3rd kid in his family with elder brother and sister and one young brother ,who at that time is around 7 years old.After few months Rahul vai father is hospitalized .To survive his mother has to sell all the jewlery as there was no income.Rahul vai father was great social worker and had received gold medal for this contribution.The time was so harsh to this family that Rahul vai and his family had to sell this gold medal.That time Rahul vai promised his dad he will replace this one gold medal with 10 goldmedal.

Time was still bad for the family.His elder brother and sister left school but he continued .He used to sell jewelry made by his brother to tourists and this is how they used to survive .later he trasferred to Viswa niketan school for high studies.He had hard time there as he didn't get much time to study .He used to work with his brother and support his family.
He started a new phase of life in Viswa niketan ..He had support from great teachers where he impoved his english and nepali and started topping the class from bearly passing student.He got chance to participate in quiz contest, spelling contest and was able recieve several gold medals one of them from Late queen Aiswarya.
He had responsibilties of supportin his family where as his teachers were expecting him to dedicate more time for SLC .With support from the Principal he was more determined to top the SLC.

When the results came out he was among the top ten students from all over Nepal.It was proud moment for his family.His father health was slowly improving and though things were still not perfect things were looking much better.
He received scholarships and that helped to ease the burden from his family for his educational expenses.

He joined ASCOL with bio major , there also he got chance to participate in quiz contest and all .One day when he came home after winining gold medal in quiz.He didn't find anyone home except his younger brother.Later his elder brother came and they all went to hospital where they found his father dead.This was the day he had own 6th gold medal out of 10 which he promised to his father before selling the gold medal of his father in struggling times.He regrets that if he had been early home at least he could have seen happiness in his fathers eyes for the gold he earned .

Till now rahul vai has received 9 gold medals out of 10 .He continues to work towards it..

If you have life of comfort then you don't learn a lot .For example : Look at the people coming to USA. I had all kind of luxury back home.Name the things i didn't do in US.
gardening, painting, plumbing,mopping, washing dishes and all but those experience make person more strong, Ambition inspired and leads to you towards success.
i don't claim i did a lot or less.Everyone i bet 99% people have done what i said ..so it is just not me but if you take it as positive and learn ..they are part of life and they make you a person with character!!
