One of my fren is denied from re-entering US and is now deported and is back to Nepal. There were no criminal charges or cases against him while he was here. He was about to graduate in few semesters and had good GPA overall. Officers saw his picture while at work in his cell fone and stuffs started from there. I am just trying to know; what he needs to do to re-enter united states.

at_its_best Bro talk to his university, college international advisor and get an immigration lawyer, if money is a problem go to the local law school or lawyers office and ask for probono immigration lawyers.

You mean the Immigration Officer asked for his cell phone and then looked at his photos?

They do check your fone at immigration not rite at the cubicle but when they take you inside the office closely guarded by next to those cubicles. the first thing they do is search your belongings including your wallet and handbag and cellfone. firstly cell fone. I had been there and experienced it. I got lucky he didnt. we were together.

@atitsbest - you either need to write more in detail ( how one would get deported from cell phone) or stop posting more in this thread. What you are saying currently does not make any sense to any of the readers. Please explain or stop.

Ok as_its_best, You made me look for more info on this ...may me you are right somewhat..
take a look at this:
Q: Can law enforcement officers search my laptop files? If
they do, can they make copies of the files, or information
from my address book, papers, or cell phone contacts?
A:
This issue is contested right now. Generally, law enforcement
officers can search your laptop files and make copies of information
contained in the files. If such a search occurs, you should
write down the name, badge number, and agency of the person
who conducted the search. You should also file a complaint with
that agency.

From what i know the incident is real and the guy who was deported would be my friend if he was deported from Chicago.
instead of you people arguing if it was a BS or not , help the poor guy out.
no hard feelings though

Please don't start discussion without having details. I don't think this is even correct news.

Chicago thats the POE; The immigration officer was an Indian dude. While back at the office of those officers where people are held for inquiry he called his senior officer which is a lady and it was posted ICE supervisor infront of her door. She asked what languages you speak. He replied hindi nepali and english with mere energy in voice. They were pretty clever enough to put pressure upon him; she called that indian officer dude and he said " Jo bhi hai sach bataao; warna it would be dificult for you in long run". "if you do not co-operate with us we will have to detain you or to deport you". I think thats enough to blow someone away who is already fraustrated and exhausted. if you think this story is fabricated than you will know how real it is when lightning strike in your head. March 17th 2:45 thats the time.
