 This is true for all the EB rows except EB-1.

I have been looking into this bill for a while now. There is a lot of money and lobbing going on for this by indians and Chinese . So chances are it will pass this time if some senator does stand on its way. This is really bad patching for EB immigration, just to favor Indian and chinese without addressing whole issue. But I don't think any one else is organized enough to oppose this bill, and to lobby for comprehensive approach instead of patching for the sake of Indians and Chinese. So it seems like days of quick GC for lot of people will end soon.

I believe there is a 3 yr period for the bill to take into full effect if it passes. They should have gone for visa recapture which would have been win win for all immigrants.

How long will it take in effect if passed thru senate from now?

Thanks for the links, I can't believe how many people are supporting this bill without any regard to applicants from other countries. It's a see-saw, if their processing times decrease, ours is obviously going to increase. And they're doing this in the name of fairness and equality? Am I missing something? Won't our (as in all countries other than India and china) processing times increase for EB2 and EB3 applications?
