Hello all,

I recently turned to vegeterian, but I don't know much food options available out for vegeterian, especially in fast food resturant.

It would be great, if vegetarian out there can provide what options, specially healthy options not like veggie pizza, do we have in US.

Thanks,

I don't have any suggestions but have to commend on your efforts. I tried to be a veggie once a week but that just got impossible. Pizza was it for me as salad wouldn't fill me up.
There's so much pizza you can eat, so I quit it. I started eating vegetarians.
I suggest you buy those frozen Indian foods (non stinky ones) and just take them for lunch.

Usually you have to come up with substitution ideas when you go to fast food or restaurants (like Nepali Matoo)....that works out pretty well for meee..

 What made you to swith to vegi?  If it is for health? then why are you looking for fast food option.

Cook you own food that is the best option.

Peace.

For example..today i went a mexican restaurant with my co-workers....they had Fehitas of beef, chicken, seafood.....but i ordered Fehitas without meat. it was good. Have grilled cheese, baked potatoes, onion rings which is a combination when you go to american restaurant. If they have a vegetarian soup like brocalli or potato, that will do it for me. Plus don't be wayyy to strict as well if you are in mid-west esp. if they brought you food with meat mixed...separate it on a side of a plate and digg the rest for your body. enjoy being a vegetarian...after a while your taste buds will become so replenished, and the whole concept of nutrition will be clear...Good Luck

@yeostuden: and poonhill: thanks

@bodmas: its not because of health. Its just a choice I made, as I don't like to have a meat without any reason.

I am asking about fast food options to have launch with my colleauges.
