Sajha is of  great help to me and many of my friends and we wish sajha to be functioning as it is.  I dont brouse sajha on weekend and was surprised to read the post in americadarpan thinking when such posting was there?

Just trying to know what actually happenned.

First of all EVEN THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES ARE NOT IMMUNE FROM THIS(protection from 1st Amendment) WHO THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I AM A FIRM BELIEVER OF PROTECTION OF OTHER PEOPLE'S PRIVACY(unless you try and use this platform to further your own benefit by revealing yourself like Nepe, Parminderr etc etc). But at the same time you cannot hold Sajha responsible for Khattey gadhas who come here and post whatever they want. As San said HE WILL DELETE POSTS THAT ARE OFFENSIVE WITHIN 24 TO 48 HRS. You dont know what is the legal ways and you are doing what the original poster did. Trying to defame Sajha ...threatening Sajha and its users. Try not to do that .. Better not to do that ..

I am also curious about the content that was deleted. Were the allegations true? Is that why they are making a big issue out of it? America darpan is run from Texas and the alleged people are successful businessmen from texas who may or are advertising in americadarpan. It's possible they are making a big issue out of it.

The original poster should post it in some non nepali blog and provide link in sajha. If what he said is true then everyone needs to read it.

I think one of those threads was started by Mr BIMAL KHATTEY THAPA USA. I remember him posting about some dude who owns multiple gas stations in TX( I did go postal on this idiot for invading other people's privacy). If at all go after this Moron. I think I remember reading that posting posted by NST-subhachintak. it was that day when I cant open sajha and open through gbnc website. But isn't that clear in the disclaimer of this website that the threads posted here are not the admin's views. At least for me, that America Darpan's article is funny. Amazing le bhaya jati ho k.

          As a resident of Dallas, I am familiar with the names that were mentioned by NST Suvachintak in his/her defamatory thread and its mindboggling to come across these overtly biased views. I am ambiguous about the gender of the thread originator because it is set as female in the profile but I doubt very strongly that the person is a female. If the person is a male, I find this act of hiding and intention to mislead very cowardly.

          Nepali Community in Dallas is a community of roughly 15000 people with the number rising everyday. Among them around 1500 participate in public events and the rest choose to stay as numbers. The names that were mentioned belong to good Samaritans of Dallas who, despite our backbiting nature inherent in our community, set to lead the pack for the common good. They chose to perform leadership roles in our community without aligning themselves with a certain coterie and they still pursue that legacy for which they deserve accolades not these e-thrashes.

          In Nepali Community, it is not hard to know one another and come across at times because most of us frequent the same locations. When someone vilifies us, we take it very seriously no matter it be a hearsay or in a web forum because we are a closely knit circle. So much so since it is in a thriving forum like Sajha Kurakani, it is taken very seriously due to its popularity and wide range of viewers from gramps to toddlers. However, only the victim can feel the intensity and aggravation of the scorn. And this kind of harm once done is done. It’s irreversible. That’s why I would like to see the culprit punished.

         Here the culprit is NSTSuvachintak who lost his manhood, disguised under a woman’s profile and hurled stones at real men who believed in themselves and championed the common cause. It’s not the fault of Sajha.com neither that of Americadarpan.com. The latter is headquartered in Dallas so it might have, out of urgency, condemned the cowardly act to secure the dignity of its reputable residents.

         Instead of playing the blame-game, we have to examine both perspectives and listen to each other. Most importantly, we should not harbor or if you will, encourage these wrongdoers and culprits who spread gangrene in our society. San reserves the right not to release private information to third party unless it is a legal entity. His values and efforts are praiseworthy. Nonetheless, sometimes Junge’s Law works wonders especially in our community. If NSTSuvachintak’s ass is dragged out of his bunker and flogged publicly in Irving Mall Parking Lot and everything broadcast live via Sajha.com on Pay-Per-View, we would not see another one very soon very often.

          It's solely my personal opinion and you are free to disagree with me. But please don't just disagree without even disagreeing on matters. Thank you.

As i read  the posting i feel like NST subhachintak has expressed his views as the response of the of the email which bothered him appearing in his inbox several times .( If i'm not wrong). This is merely his personal evaluation. I don't know anything about the persons described here. If somebody doesn't agree with his views they are free to falsify it, right? As a Sajha web subhachintak I would be clearer if so called journalism of America Darpan could clearify the persons described here are Samajsebak rather than blaming on SAJHA. 

I agree Sajha is not too blame for its postings, because "kurakani' by design is a public forum. But I do have something to say about the mudslinging that takes place here and is threatening to get out of hand.

Its all good when  you, disguised under a login name, sling mud at another 'login' name. But when you do it using real names, then it becomes 'personal' not 'public'. I am not an expert when it comes to the legalities of this, but common folks are not 'celebrities' nor people running for public offices, and therefore should not be subjected to such defamation.

Imagine, if this manifested itself into a site with personal vendettas and allegations with real names. I have seen many instances in the past where anonymous sajha users have defamed others using their  'real' names. It has also happened via other channels such as abuse of group email addresses.

I know Sajha has grown leaps and bounds since inception, and I am proud of the things it has done to bring our community together. But I also feel Sajha is more or less a Nepalese- centric portal, and things such as these are magnified in our community. I do not know the people who were mentioned in that thread, and I do not know if the allegations are true or false, all I know is that they and their families must be going through some very trying times right now.

Sajhaites, put yourself in that position. How would you react?  And remember, it could happen to anyone of us.

But I can't think of a proper solution to this. Start blocking or deleting threads for 'defamations' - you go into a cycle where everything can be defined as a defamation. You don't do that, and such acts flourish.

I think you ought to expand this voting system. Make it like if some posting gets 6 or 10 say, negative points, the thread gets put into a moderation queue. The admins/moderators would then be able to reactivate it or delete it.

I don't agree with you .........WHat does it mean to have 6, 8 -ve points. I might say something that no one agrees with me, so now u gonna vote it to delete it.

One most important thing- As a born rights, you have freedom of speech. Now, again this doesn't mean that any one can say anything or something like this thread.........That's why there are laws.....But it's not in the favour of anyone to run after the dog when it's barks at you for no certain reasons.

The biggest issue from where I see is NST has become like our Nepal's politics. I might be wrong, but that's what I see. It doesn't appear to be non-profit origanization, which was solely opened for the purpose of serving Neplai community in Dallas and across US. Thats why I hate to choose to be its part. I know few people whose name were mentioned here. I don't know who they are from inside, But my  interaction and their way of dealing things at least doesn't give any impression that all the blames were to be true.

I know people who are present active member of NST, including from top to the bottom ( not all, but most of them). One thing I really don't like about NST is it has become a business for some memebers to make some extra money. Guys, common don't bring Same Nepali politics here in US, at least on this community. And if there is any one out there, he disagrees with me, I really don't care.....But I had seen with my own eyes and heard with my own years where memebers are talking about NST in a business way to make money , but not for NST, but for themseleves. And I don't see any wrong on this too.. MAy be thats their income to survive. tara do it openly.....don't do in the back .......

The more we talk , the more we see this Same Nepal politics everywhere. People are fighting becoz its not that they want to serve, becoz its that they want to make money.

However, This doesn't apply to all the members, and My appology to you all , if I tried to put you all on the same shoes.......

One thing for sure We NEED CHANGE!!!! change in people, change the way NST conducts, and change in its memebers.................Plz make sure you do what you mean........DOn't make it a business, and also to others, please think twice when you comments others........You might be trying to follow " one size fits all"

What is so discomforting about this issue is that who ever the jackass wrote that piece has no clue what sajha is, how material are posted and who post the actual post. Sajha is not a news site so what they meant by this is done by sajha.com. If they thing NST_subahchintak should charged for defamaotry remark, then in the mean time they should also be charged for libel. Clearly who ever wrote it, he doesn;t know what he is talking about.

San bro: Dont ban that NST subhachintak, infact encourage him to defend himself of what ever he wrote. His post is already out, as a moderator I dont expect you to do more than this.

One more request : americadarpan should be banned word in sajha :-)

Man it's a simple estimation. For most valid posts, there'll always be people for it and against it. So, there's got to be a balance. For nonsense posts, almost everyone will be against. And, it's not removing the thread. It just gets flagged or whatever, and it returns back if it's valid. You can change the vote count to a large number or whatever.

Oh well, it might be making things more tedious here. Whatever, was just a random suggestion.
