Emotions circumscribed

The somber shadows of emotions,

Somber, they ne’er were.

When once breathed a maverick soul

In the kingdom of the enlightened poor

In his sunshine moments he basked,

Crude emotions unmasked…

Couched in a nook, when in trepidation

Leaned against the door, in eager anticipation

In seventh heaven, when his dreams bore

In deep recess, with misfortunes galore

Upright upon a bog, with a lame vanity,

In dark murky waters, with a crushed sanity

Adorned a coat of pun, his humorous attire,

A mouthful of sarcasm, his gun of satire

Like a pride of mighty lions,

His savage emotions roared aloud.

Alas! They belied him…

Like the soporific winter, by a cuckoo so proud!

A sly smile…

A brilliant dawn he envisions.

The splendid flight of a falcon

Free from the shackles of emotions.

His contours must he deceive

For him his territory to rule

Must see a half empty jar,

A jar half-full…

Like a wild stallion in reins,

His emotions begged liberty

But the con turned a deaf ear,

He knew ‘twas for prosperity.

Veiled he sauntered,

Upon his fecund soil

Glowed, as a candle in its burning best

A long long wick, not a drop of oil

He flaunted his dexterity.

To stand tall, to stand brave

All his cards fell in place

Ace, king, queen, and knave

Many a summer later,

His beloved lil’ throws,

“In the pool of radiance, had you dived?”

Laughs aloud the grey head...

“Sweet o child, my emotions, I had circumscribed…”

(*my first post would go in vain if i fail to dedicate it to someone..an intangible someone)

What a sweet surprise!

I too, was thinking (contemplating to write :d ) about the emotions being petrified by the uncertainties, and had to relent it and let it stay mummified for being unable to thaw the emotions.

I see my endeavors as an attempt to ' trespassing the vacuum'. I now, abort the mission- for you diligently put the feelings into the  words.

Thanks.

A fantastic read it was. I simply loved the way how artistically your words have intersected the countours of emotion, once after another. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece......

i sniff something political or is it just me? (my otherwise sharp nose has been betraying me lately :P)...but then the beauty of a verse is more exemplified when you can relate it to very many aspects of life/chain of events you witness...

nice work :D...i must remember to remember your nick :P

emotions are universal.. thawing them is eternal. . circumscribing them is humanely human. . and we humans after all ..lesser mortals precisely. you neednt thank me sir.

{without sounding repetitive}.. it gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction to know you've read it and labelled it as "a good read....a beautiful piece". thank me not sir, . . honestly, i  should be doing that actually, for all those literary works(posts) of yours. .thank you, it is

@LooTeKuKuR. .
