I am in H1 visa and need to go back to Nepal. which one would be easiest either get stamped in Meaamoros or in Nepal. I got only 3 weeks stay in kathmandu. pls direct me who has stamped in matamoros..from a to z or in kathmandu recently. There are agencies who help get around with this for mexico. its expensive..(cost more than 1000 in total including flight) any body has done on their own. What are the procedures if i want to get stamped in Nepal. I am confused. Pls advice.

Hello,

As far as I know, you do not have to get through an agency in Mexico to get your H1b stamped. You can simply set up an appointment at the US Consulate and be there on time. In order to get to Mexico, just get a bus ticket or a flight and book a motel/hotel. Since you will not be staying there for a long time, you will not incur yourself a lot of expenses. Many of my friends have gone indepently and were safe there. Or, you can google for some inexpensive agencies.

All the best to you.
