What They Said!

Well, we saw the happenings of the first day of RSP's first General Convention and I just wanted to do a review on what the old school chor netas from the old corrupt political parties said during the event.

First, let us start with Gagan Thapa. He still believes that his Nepali Congress, the grand old party of Nepali politics, will be a formidable opposition in the House. Gaganey tells RSP fans that he has seen it all. He reminds them that this is just another movie but with the same skript.

Yes, Nepali Congress has received the majority many times since the 60s to the 90s, but they took all those opportunities for granted and looted more and more till Deuba and Arzoo didi had to pack their bags and leave with probably thousands of crores of illegal wealth stashed in foreign banks.

Then, we have the RPP wallahs, the so-called Rajabaadis! Lingden Daju still lives in his own fantasy land. He reminded the RSP fans that most of the folks who wanted the comeback of monarchy actually voted for Balen and the RSP rather than his own party, believing that RSP would bring the King back.

I think that was total BS! The RPP may blow its horns and sankhas with their demands for a Hindu country and a King ruling us again, but at the end of the day, they are just opportunists who want to grab a few votes and a few seats in the House to remain relevant, even though they very well know that they have missed the boat and the boat is not coming back. Where were they when the same old chor netas decided to declare us a Republic and end the days of monarchy in our land?

The Nepal Communist Party sent Barshaman Pun to give his two paisa to the RSP fans. I think our former Maoists want some credit for the rise of RSP and want to remind us that if it weren't for them, then we would not be here.

Well, if it weren't for the Maoists, we would not have had 17,000 innocent lives lost in a decade. If it weren't for the Maoists, we would not have had millions of young people leaving their villages in fear of extortion or forced recruitment in the rebel army. If it weren't for the Maoists, we would have probably done better in terms of economic growth in the past three decades.

Dr. Baburam was the only one who actually had more positive things to say to the RSP fans. He did try his best to come up with a new political party, but I guess he didn't realize that he, too was part of the mess for the past two decades. I think the best retirement gig would be to head to KU and teach some urban planning classes to undergraduates there.

And now let's talk about the United Mundrey Leaders (UML). The UML Neta, who was sent to represent his party at the convention, decided to piss off everyone there anyway. He was warning the RSP that their speeding, furious actions would lead to accidents in the country. I guess, the UML chors don't realize that they are the most hated political party in town, and if they continue to act like they are still in power and talk BS, then they will cease to exist in the next election!

We will talk about Rabi and Balen's speech tomorrow. I think it is nice to see the other political parties being invited to the RSP mega concert. Prachanda and Oli can go to hell. Gagan Thapa can be the opposition for the next thirty years and grow old, cranky, and grumpy. The RPP will continue their 'monarchy' dance because that's the only way they will be able to raise some funds and maybe win a seat or two and act like they represent all Hindus in the country. And what about Harkey? No comment!
