Hey i am on stem opt working in a IT position and making around $75000. I am trying to apply my wife on F2. But i want to change my employer letter head income statement to $100K. I am not sure either the visa officer will ask for pay slip or have access to my social security? Can i do so? or should just put $75000. Any information will be appreciated .

Never lie to USCIS. Why do you want to show them $100K and not $75K ? I have seen graduate student bring spouse just based on his/her stipend (less than $30K), without showing any property or bank balance in Nepal. I don't think you have any reason to worry unless there is something else going on.

nepalithito,
Nothing is 100% to be honest. But if spouse of a graduate student gets F2 visa solely based on I-20 showing less than 30K stipend and nothing else, you are in much better situation. I can understand the anxiety before visa approval. I think you should be fine.
Good Luck.
