५ ६ महिने अम्रिका बसाईमा मेरो नेपाली /सोउथ एसियनहरुसंगको अनुभब तेती राम्रो रहेन . कुरो नचपाई भन्दा यी जाँठा साढे पाँच फुटे नेपालीजनहरु संग म लगभग वाक्क , दिक्क , प्यक्क भै सकेको अवस्था छ . अमेरिका त पहिले पनि भिजिट गरेको हो तर यहाका नेपाली संग तेती नजिकिने मौका मिलेको थिएन . यहाँ हप्तै जस्तो हुने ग्यादरिंग र एस्ता ग्यदरिंगमा हुने छलफालका बिसाएले मलाई दिक्क बनाई सक्यो .
ग्यादरिङ्ग भएको १० मिनेटमै दिक्क लाग्दो बिसाएले प्रवेश पाउछ . एउटाले स्टक मार्केटको कुरो निकाल्छ अनि अर्कोले तेशमा आफ्नो बिग्येता थप्प्छ. केहि समय पछि अर्कोले फलानोले त २०१९ मा किनेको घर ५ लाख नाफा खाएर बेचेछ नि भनेर पैसाको कुरो निकाल्छ . तेस्पछि अर्कोले रामबहादुरले १५ वर्षमै येति मिलियनको सम्पति जोडी सक्यो आफुले बल्ल बल्ल २ ओटा घर मात्र किन्न सकेको गुनासो गर्छ .
अर्को घ्याम्पेले डिस्पोजेबल कपमा २ डलरको जम्बो कोक हाल्दै जागिरको कुरो निकाल्छ , ४०१ मा कति जम्मा भयो, सो'को फेरिस्ता लगाउछ . ६५ वर्षको सट्टा ६८ वर्ष सम्म काम गर्दा कति फाइदा हुने कुरोको ब्याख्या गर्छ . एदा कदा खेलकुदको बिसाएले प्रवेश पाउछ तर फेरी अर्को नाक चुच्चेले पैसाकै कुरो निकाल्छ . पेर्सनालिटीको कुनै चिन्ता छैन , जिमखानामा सायद यिनीहरुको पाइला कहिले पुगेको छैन . प्याट्ट प्याट्ट चप्पल र टि-सर्ट लाएर अधिकान्ष १० वर्ष पुरानो गाडी चलाएर हिड्छन तर भेट हुदा कुरो पैसा र सफलता बाहेक अरु केहिको चर्चा हुदैन . प्रकृति ,योग ,हाइकिङ्ग , साधना जस्ता कुराको कुनै महत्तो नै छैन . म त यो भिडमा एकदमै निसासिये जस्तो हुन्छ .नेपालमा हुदा कामले कहिले कसैलाई फुर्सद नै हुदैन र भेट घाटमा अलि अलि राजनीतिको कुरा भए पनि यहाँ जस्तो खाली पैसा , लगानी , ४०१ को कुरो हुदैंन . त्यहाँको भेट घाट बिसुद्ध ओर्गानिक हुन्छ , सुख दुख , हासो ठट्टा उमङ्ग हुन्छ . यहाँका नेपाली छिमेकी लाइ मेरो हैकिंग /फोटोग्राफी को कुरा भन्दा हजारौ गुणा बढी मैले किन्न लागेको घरको चासो छ . यहाँ सबैलाई थाहा छ ब्याबसाए बाहेक मेरो सौख फोटोग्राफी हो र म संग निकै राम्रा राम्रा फोटोको संघ्रह र सुनाउन अनुभबहरु छ तर आज सम्म कसैले यस बारे चासो राखेको छैन . महिला वर्गको झन् के कुरा गर्नु , बरु नेपालमा आजकल महिलाले खासै गहना लाउन छोडी सके यहाँका महिलाको छड्के तिलहरी , नौगेडी आदि देख्नु भयो भने छक्क पर्नु हुन्छ . बाबाठाकुरे तेस्तो गहना लाएर हिड्न लाज हुन्न भन्या ?
निस्कर्ष :
अधिकांश अम्रिका आउने नेपालीहरुले आफ्नो काल खण्डमा चरम गरिबी देखेको हुनाले यिनीहरुको ध्याननै कसरि हुन्छ पैसा थुपार्ने तिर मात्र केन्द्रित हुदो रैछ . पैसा थुपार्ने क्रममा जिन्दगि पनि सकिदै गएको अनुभूति सायद हुन्न होला . लाग्छ नेपालीको यो पुस्ता र तयार हुदै गरेको अर्को थप एक पुस्ता जिन्दगिको सार्थकतामा भन्दा नि धन थुपार्नेमै केन्द्रित हुने देखिन्छ . अमेरिकी सपना बाट हामी अझै १०० वर्ष पछाडी छौ .
भोलि बेल्का अर्को ग्यादरिङ्ग छ त्यहाँ मैले किन्ने घरको प्रगति विवरण बुझाउनु पर्ने छ .
यो नेपाली समाजमा मात्र होइन भारतीय समाजमा झन् बिकराल छ . भारतीय IT मा काम गर्नेको जमघटमा एकचोटी जानुस तपाई ५ मिलियन भन्दा तलको गफ नै सुन्नुहुन्न . यस्ता जमघटमा जानु भन्दा एउटा किताब लिएर पार्कमा बस्नु भयो भने मनोसान्ति मिल्छ .
I agree that Nepalese society puts extreme value on wealth/earning and considers it as only factor to measure human life/success . I believe this ideological social problem is main reason behind how nepal is today and extreme corruption in our society. Also have to agree with ugly taste Nepalese women have in terms of fashion, jewelry, elegance and hipocracy they carry around sex and relations .
But slamming people just because your interest doesn’t align is not right. It’s not only Nepalese people but people from all part or world. There are group of white/black/Hispanic/Asians people who are deep into money saving , FIRE enthusiasts, extreme savers , and they talk all these as well.
It’s not others who need to change, but most likely you need to change and hang out with the crowd with whom your interest aligns . Nothing is stopping you from hanging out with non-Nepalese either.

Kale dai sar i dont have bonding with intian IT guys but yes they are worst .
Cant agree more with meraj sar , these days im more with students and young people . These young people harldy talk about ststus , success or anything similar . They talk oppositre . That is the reason i visited mexico with them to have their h1b stpamped . They make you feel young as well.

There are a couple of things here. I notice a hint of jealousy. And yes Meraj hit the nail in the head. You may be exaggerating or the people you meet really only talk about money. Some discussion here and there can happen in every group but not continuously like you said.
If you talk too much about other and look them down mean you have complex inferiority issue. We saw your first thread " कहाली लाग्यो" and it was directed to me ( I sold 2005 Camry and bought 2011 Prius). You have created 3-4 different thread and you have one with attached YouTube too. What ever I drove or drive it should not be your problem but you kept going on as if I have murdered one of your family or I screwed your female household member. I can not think any thing other than these two reasons I have mentioned. This will be the extreme case to be mad in that degree and length.
