I am a student and am embarking on a journey from Kathmandu to New York for the very first time. My itinerary is : departs KTM at 7:35 AM, a 5:40-hour layover in the city of Istanbul, and finally touches down at JFK at 10:30 PM. Sorry to burst your bubble but you seem to romanticizing your journey abroad. Do not expect to make friends on 25 hr journey let alone memorable, life long friend. Nobody gives a flying f about you.
