My parents did a RT PCR test at Fairfax Medical Lab in Virginia who charged $120 each which was the cheapest one I found since they did not have insurance. Do some research in your local area if you're not in DMV area

No need to pay for COVID test. Just find a free one closest to you. Most airlines ask for negative result 72 hrs before the departure date. Thank you so much for the information. The free covid test (PCR paid for by the insurance) takes 72 hours for results. My worry is whether they will accept it if the duration between the test time and the flight time is few hours more than 72 hours. If they do not and ask me to take the rapid test at the airport, it would be quite expensive. If any of you have recently gone home and come back, please share any tidbits that might be helpful. I have not been there for the last two years. Since I will be there only a couple of weeks, I am being extra cautious. Also, how's the flying experience and the fear factor of getting infected during travel? Thanks again.

You worry too much. Lol. Thau herera huncha. Result 72 hrs nai lagdaina. Maile bhaneko manche did covid test on Monday 9 am and the result came back Monday 7 pm. Used that result to fly today at 10 pm. Nepal bata yeta aauda chai 48 hrs agadi ko chaido raicha. Go to MediCity for covid testing. I havent taken international flight but i have taken multiple domestic flights from east to west coast that is 6+ hours. Aba ta khassai matlab lagdaina. Mask launu parcha tyahi ho. Its safe!!;)
