It's because complete negligence by both government and people. Just a month ago, Nepalese were behaving as if there is no corona at all and just ignores it all. The fact is Nepalese are so used to mismanagement and diseases that they do not fear literally anything. The virus never went away and Nepal/India has become perfect heaven for Covid to thrive and produce more mutant variants.

What do you expect? In case of India,there was Kumbha mela gathering , election in West Bengal and disregard to social distancing. In case of Nepal, people trusting homeopathic “goli” more than advice from medical doctors, continuing with bihe, bratabandha, “haraluchh” buying in Kalimati tarkari Bajar, our prime minister asking people to eat more besar and majority wearing their masks in their chins and not keeping safe distance.

I heard that due to the excessive pollution that people in KTM and many places in India got exposed to, their lungs were very weakened and more susceptible to corona infection.

I think that it is the result of arrogance of our leadership. Oli with his Besar remedy and our ex hindu King Gyanendra for leading the masses to Kumbh mela. However, if anything happens to them, they will get the best oxygen. It is very dishearting to see utter disregard for people's life from the leadership who were supposed to save. 😡
